African researchers – and particularly Countdown to 2030 country collaboration team members – are encouraged to submit their analyses of routine health facility data for inclusion in a side session at the African Population Conference which will be held in Malawi in May 2024.
The session will discuss effective methods and strategies for using routine health facility data to drive health system planning and performance assessment. The conference dates are 20-24 May, and the side session is expected to be held on 21 May.
To apply for the session, prepare a 3-to-5-page summary (or full paper) in English or French. The document should be following the standard journal article format of background, methods, key results, and discussion. Applications are due by 10 April 2024.
Authors who are accepted will be notified by 30 April 2024. Priority will be given to applicants from Countdown country collaboration teams.
Countdown to 2030 will provide limited travel awards to accepted applicants, which will include the costs of travel, accommodation, and per diem. However, we strongly encourage all applicants to explore alternative options to finance partially or totally their participation.
