At every annual meeting, country delegations analyze and synthesize data from several sources, including routine health information systems, household surveys, global estimates, and others. These analyses are compiled into reports, which are also called chartbooks, and shared with key stakeholders in each country. Below are the links to the individual country synthesis reports.

Report Summarizing the 2026 Annual Meeting

The 2026 Countdown annual meeting had the following objectives:

• Providing training and technical support in the use of Countdown methods, tools, and the Countdown Data Suite.

• Produce and refine high-quality national and subnational chartbooks, full analytical reports, and synthesis products covering key RMNCAH-N and PHC statistics.

• Strengthening multi-country learning on facility data quality, denominator selection, coverage trends, inequalities, institutional mortality, curative service utilization, primary health care, health-system inputs, private-sector contribution, and gender.

• Promoting triangulation of routine facility data with household surveys, population estimates, mortality evidence, and other relevant data sources.

• Strengthening country interpretation of findings and translation into policy messages, briefing materials, and dissemination plans.

• Reinforce collaboration between Ministries of Health, national public health and research institutions, regional organizations, and technical partners.

              The meeting also creates an opportunity for Countdown fellows to present their research to their mentors and peers.
