April 1- 3,2025, Countdown to 2030 Zimbabwe country collaboration team—comprising the Zimbabwe Ministry of Health and Child Care, the University of Zimbabwe’s Global Public Health and Family Medicine Department, the African Population and Health Research Center, and the The Global Financing Facility (GFF)—joined forces to support a diverse subnational team in reviewing the quality of reproductive, maternal, neonatal, and child health (RMNCH) data. This collaborative effort enhances data accuracy and is a valuable learning opportunity for all participants.
This also cements Countdown to 2030 for Women’s Children’s and Adolescents’ Health efforts to drive meaningful change by shifting the focus from merely reporting numbers to promoting a culture of data utilization at the source. High-quality data forms the backbone of evidence-based decision-making, effective planning, and impactful health interventions.
The activity is also a critical step in preparing for the Ministry of Health and Child Care’s National Reproductive Health Annual Report, which will improve health outcomes for women and children in Zimbabwe.
Better data, better decisions, healthier communities!
