In preparation for the upcoming Country Annual Meeting (CAM 2025), Countdown to 2030 initiative held the first virtual workshop on District Health Information Software 2 (DHIS2) data extraction and initial quality assessment on May 16 and 27. The workshop guided participants on using the Countdown DHIS2 data extractor, ensuring all analysts can access and extract the required reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health and nutrition (RMNCAHN) indicators from their national DHIS2 platforms. The participants also reviewed the data extraction protocol and requirements, highlighting common pitfalls and data structure issues observed in previous years.

The upcoming CAM 2025, scheduled for June 16-20, will build on previous successes and lessons by integrating new data analysis approaches and tools. The meeting will bring together data analysts, RMNCH program managers, and stakeholders from 34 countries in sub-Saharan Africa to discuss progress, share insights, and enhance analytical capacities for health data utilization.
