The Countdown vaccination results were presented on Tuesday, 23 September, during the coordination meeting of the Ministry of Public Health of Cameroon, chaired by the Secretary General of the Ministry. The presentation provided an evidence based overview of vaccination performance across health districts and served as a basis for strategic discussions among central and decentralized health authorities.

Particular emphasis was placed on the quality of routine immunization data, highlighting its critical role in planning, monitoring, and informed decision making. The discussions underscored existing disparities in data quality between districts and the implications these gaps have for effective program implementation and resource allocation.
At the conclusion of the session, a key recommendation was adopted. It was agreed that an official communication, to be signed by the Secretary General, would be sent to health districts with weak data quality performance to raise awareness on the importance of reliable data for decision making. At the same time, districts demonstrating strong performance in data quality would be formally commended, with the objective of promoting accountability, motivation, and a culture of data use across the health system.
