Updated Analysis Results from 26 African Countries: Key Indicators of Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health

Following the 2024 annual meeting in April, country collaboration teams have finalized short reports from key reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health and nutrition (RMNCAH+N) indicators in 26 African countries between 2019 - 2023. These chartbooks outline data quality assessment, national coverage of antenatal care, maternal and newborn health, immunization and family planning, equity, maternal mortality and stillbirth rates, and health services utilization.

The analyses synthesize data from routine health facility DHIS2 systems, recent national surveys, health system data and global estimates.  Within each section, there are selected graphs and tables on key indicators with interpretations made by country teams during the workshop. These analyses which will serve as critical input for national monitoring of RMNCAH+N and health sector plans, as well as  key inputs for the Global Financing Facility's data portal.
