New findings on tracking aid

Four methods have previously been used to track aid for reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health (RMNCH). The new Mushkoka2 algorithm includes innovations

to produce accurate, predictable, transparent, and up-to-date estimates to analyze donor and recipient perspectives on use of donor aid for RMNCH. New findings show that 46% of aid in 2017 was dedicated to child health, while only 19% was allocated towards maternal and newborn health. These findings provide an important basis for holding donors accountable for their commitments and for assessing whether aid is sufficient, equitable, and effective.
