From October 20-25, 2025, the Countdown 2030 initiative technical team is holding a workshop to review progress, improve participants’ R programming skills, and advance development of the CD2030 R-Shiny Application. Specific objectives include strengthening team capacity in immunization code usage, enhancing expertise in relevant R packages, and refining Shiny application development.
The weeklong workshop aims to foster collaboration, support problem-solving, and build long-term sustainability by ensuring participants are prepared to use and maintain the developed tools.
The CD2030 R-Shiny Application is an interactive tool that simplifies and standardizes routine health facility data analysis. It automates data loading, quality assessment, analysis, and report generation. Using R and dynamic visualizations, the tool reduces manual effort and speeds up evidence generation. Country teams gain insights, support decision-making, and strengthen health systems more easily.
